MEPs have proposed the formation of the independent body to investigate the side effects caused by Covid vaccines. The ENVI board holds that there is no need.
The Committee on Environment, Public Health and Food Safety (ENVI), as the committee responsible for public health, was supposed to give its opinion on the formation of an independent body to investigate the side effects caused by Covid vaccines. The coordinators of the ENVI committee met and decided that the establishment of a separate independent body to investigate adverse reactions was not necessary.
A group of MEPs gathered around the issue of the Covid crisis, including the Croatian MEP Ivan Vilibor Sinčić, proposed the establishment of an independent body to investigate the side effects of the Covid vaccine. The Committee for the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety (ENVI), as the responsible committee for public health, was supposed to give its opinion. The coordinators of the ENVI committee met and decided that the establishment of a separate independent body to investigate adverse reactions was not necessary.
The coordinators of the ENVI committee believe that the tasks that should be performed by such an independent body are precisely those performed by the COVI committee – the Special Committee on the COVID-19 Pandemic. In addition, they state that at the plenary session on July 12, 2023, the European Parliament adopted the Resolution of the European Parliament on the COVID-19 pandemic: lessons learned and recommendations for the future, which states that medical practices should be respected, i.e. that financial responsibility for side effects caused by Covid with the vaccine lies with the vaccine manufacturers.
“In view of the adoption in plenary of the report of the Special Committee on the COVID-19 pandemic (COVI) on 12 July 2023, ENVI coordinators therefore decided that no further action regarding the matters you raised would be needed at this stage”, states in the response of the ENVI secretariat to the Members proposal.
MEP Sinčić is outraged by this answer, in which President Canfin refers to the COVI committee, since the majority in that committee in the final report, despite the enormous effort of Sinčić and his colleagues, did not even allow criticism of the Commission’s transparency, let alone anything else related to the lockdown, the poor quality of vaccines, severe side effects, fear and panic campaigns, misleading of the public, censorship, cancellation and suppression of dissenting scientific opinion, and much more. According to that disgraceful report, everything was perfect, and the only place where censorship is mentioned is when glorifying fact-checkers.
